  • September 2021 Calais Trip

September 2021 Calais Trip

Its been a long haul.

First it was COVID and then the new customs regulations in a post-Brexit world came to twart our abiltiy to get aid into Europe, but after much sweat, toil, heartache, form filling and countless phone calls we have finally managed to get two trucks, Robin Hood and Frantic back on the road in September 2021.

The details of this delivery are below.  Following on from this trip we have been working with Care4Calais to move a lot of aid around the UK for onward movement to Calais and Dunkirk as well as to assist Afghan refugees in the UK.

We are continuing to support them and other charities working in Northern France, however our main focus at the moment is the crisis in Ukraine.

Robin Hood, half load is blankets and the other half is mainly mixed clothing.

Frantic is stuffed to the limit with pop up tents and sleeping bags salvaged at Reading Festival where we were working with Herts for Refugees.

The drop offs today to Collective Aid in Calais and Mobile Refugee Support in Dunkirk, providing much needed assistance to refugees. HUGE thanks to L’Auberge Des Migrants who have officially invited us and facilitated all of the French paperwork.
