In Prishtina we met Family of Naim Jashari. This is an Ashkali family, which live not far from centre of Prishtina.
Because of lack of housing, two brothers with their families live together, which in total make ten members.
The house is old and the roof is covered with plastic sheets, and some aluminium pieces.
The only income the two families get is from the metal cans and other items they collect by rummaging through garbage bins.

On the suburb of Prishtina up to the Dragodan Hill area we met the Latif Jaha family.
There are nine family members; seven children the eldest 17 the youngest 4 years. Six of them are attending school. As we walked in we met Latif's wife with the five children that were home. The house where they live does not belong to them. A well known writer has allowed them to live there temporary. The entire family of 9 members live on Social Assistance of 70 Euros monthly.
The wife said that her youngest child has had diarrhoea for a couple of weeks but due to the lack of money he wasn't able to see the doctor!!!
They all live in the one room with two beds and mattresses. She added that her husband stays more in hospital than at home, she is the only one who struggles for her children's well-being. There is no running water, no kitchen, and no bathroom at all. The woman said that she cries everyday because she doesn't know what to give her children to eat! Sometimes MTS provides for the family with some basic food items, such flour.

In Podujevo we visted family of Bedri Ismajli. We were not able to meet this family because they were absent but our MTS colleague informed us that there are six members, three of them are children that attend school. They live in this container donated by KFOR in the middle of a field with no running water. We could see that because of lack of kitchen space the wood burning stove was placed outside the container. They get water with jerry cans from their neighbours.
The electricity supply was illegal and poorly connected and you could easily see the potential risk of electric shock.
