Leposvic Roma Camp

Went with Mirlinda and met up with KFOR - Stuart
McNamara, (Major) LMT, Seamus McArdle, (Sergeant Major) and Alex (Belgian KFOR)

Viewed camp and took photos, and chatted with Mr
Skender who lives in the camp and is the leader
·
Camp is as bad as any we have seen, albeit a bit
like a Collective with family rooms, but with extra typical Roma shacks around
the outside - it is contained within a 6 foot iron railing
·
Mr Skender provided full details in English of
all residents, and their status/intentions, on my USB Disc drive
·
We were all in agreement that security on the
road to Leposavic, which is a straight road through from Pristina without going
through MV was not a problem, and the camp is well run and controllable
·
Agreed to return with aid pre-boxed into family
packs at Easter
