Friday Oct 24
All convoyers and aircrew now successfully home in UK - Another successful but demanding convoy complete - Well done to everybody concerned

Friday Oct 23: 21.43 - from Bev
Update from ROBIN HOOD. Despite the M25 Friday night traffic made it to Akehurst Tyres Chelmsford, who insisted that we couldn't drive as seriously distorted tyre which had gotten significantly worse since ferry. Despite not having enough Sterling and their card machine being shut down as office shut they are fixing tyre now and we will return tomorrow to pay! (honestly Anthony)

Friday Oct 23: 16.23 - from Bev
Hi all trucks back in UK. Left Aachen 08.00 this morning - good run through to Calais and caught 14.40 ferry. 7.5s are now all on route to respective homes. Looking forward to that extra hour tomorrow night.

Friday Oct 23: 16.22 - from Doreen
We are back in the UK now going our separate ways back to family and friends but not forgetting new friends or events which made this trip memorable. We hope by distributing 98 tonnes of aid to 1700 families will have made a little difference to their poor lives.

Thursday Oct 22: 21.07 - from Bev with the 7.5 tonners
All trucks arrived at Achenerland Services approx 19.30. SHALAMAR continued journey on further, rest of us here enjoying a meal and a drink or two. Vanessa has given us her last two songs of the convoy, before our last stretch tomorrow to Calais and home (inshallah).

Thursday Oct 22: 20.18 - from John Desty with the 7.5 tonners
Overnight at Aachen. Hope to get ferry to Dover and be home tomorrow evening. A great convoy, huge satsisfaction of doing a good job. Many thanks to Chas for getting us through the borders and for all his organisational skill without which we would still be at Serb border.

Thursday Oct 22: 10.13 - from Paul Barber with the Heavies
The heavies split from the convoy yesterday and stopped at the Geiselwind truck stop last night and enjoyed a very good hot meal. This morning after fixing a water leak on MR FLIBBLE we are making the last leg of the European journey to Vlissingen to catch the 01.00hrs ferry back to UK. It has been a memorable trip; especially spending two days broken down and a total of 72 hrs at Serbian borders but the job in hand has been completed.

Wednesday Oct 21: - from Doreen
Left Asotthalom (Southern Hungary) this morning and travelled through Hungary into Austria, now near Passua overnight enjoying hot food and drinks. Heavies left seperatly as planned and should be stopping 2 hours ahead at Geiselwind. If all goes well we should be home on Friday.

Tuesday Oct 20: 21.16 - from Doreen

Just cleared border - took 2.5 hours. Had a detour around Belgrade earlier as traffic bad due to Russiam PM visiting. Stopping overnight at Assothalom for goulash!

Tuesday Oct 20: 20.12 - from Bev
Got through easy but have got to wait on Hungarian side for a shift change. Had some 'Mother's cake' delicious - (thanks Mrs Smith) so parked up and waiting :-) Staying at hotel at Assathalon tonight onced through. Heavies planning earlier getaway than us in morning.

Tuesday Oct 20: 17.44 - from Bev
Hi just arrived at Serb/Hungary border - fingers crossed! Todays events include big delay at petrol station due to computer failure and charging one truck for fuel whan they coudn't actually get any. Also a diversion around Belgrade due to visit of Russian dignatory - Just did our first move to front of queue here!

Tuesday Oct 20: 12.42 - from Celia
Celia emails to confirm that flting crew all safely back in UK after a busy and tiring week.
Come on guys lets have your blogs now that you are home!

Tuesday Oct 20: 10.24 - from Doreen
Stayed the night Nis, niw have to drive through Serbia and get out the other side!

Tuesday Oct 20: 00.40 - from Bev
Just arrived at Hotel Nais. Nibsy checking out room situation. Following various calls to embassies and David Cameron we were allowed 'exceptional passage' this time to allow fly-drivers through with us. Planning away tomorrow at 09.45.

Monday Oct 19: 23.04 - from Charlie
Convoy on move. Hope to get to Nis by 01.30.

Monday Oct 19: 20.29 - from Dave Smith
Stuck on border. Will not allow fly-drivers through. Border blocked. Two hours and counting.

Monday Oct 19: 19.57 - from Anthony
Not good, still at Kosovo/Serb border. They will not let fly-driver into Serbia. Border now gridlocked.

Monday Oct 19: 18.55 - from Bev
We are still here not moving! Difficulties entering Serbia due to fly-drivers - Ho hum.

Monday Oct 19: 18.05 - from Bev
Last drops made this morning. ROBIN HOOD made a distribution to a Serb community. Airborne crews left and now on flight back to UK - all fine. Full compliment of trucks just passing through Medare border crossing into Serbia. Broken down truck in front and a long line of vehicles waiting to enter Kosovo, so we are in the process of directing traffic in the rain.

Sunday Oct 18 - from Doreen
Most trucks out in the rain and snow today delivering aid. ALVAN broke down yesterday, now OK thanks to Anthony. Some trucks travelled as far as Mitrovicia and Skanderi others more local near Gjakove with GONZALES delivering aid to Peja. A few more drops scheduled for tomorrow before flying team leave and the trucks start their long drive home. Everyone is tired but OK despite tummy bugs and coughs.

Sunday 18 Oct: - from Bev
ROBIN HOOD went to Grancinicia today with Andrew and Hilary to a Serb community of 40 families. ROBIN HOOD has had a bit of engine trouble but this has now been sorted by Bill, so OK for start of return trip tomorrow. ALVAN now fixed too thanks to Anthony and Bill so all OK for an early afternoon departure tomorrow. After a few final morning drops it's off to the border - fingers crossed.
